Crown Lifting
Raise low branches for clearance beneath the canopy.
Professional pruning for trees that need deadwood removed, size controlled, clearance improved or defects corrected without ruining their natural form.
Every pruning cut should have a reason. Common objectives include removing dead, diseased or damaged branches, reducing end weight, stopping branches rubbing, improving clearance, managing light and keeping a tree within the space available.
Tree reduction is different from topping. A reduction should shorten selected branches back to suitable lateral growth points so the canopy remains balanced and capable of healthy regrowth. Topping leaves large stubs, encourages weak shoots and can increase decay risk.
Before pruning, we check whether the tree may be protected, whether bird nesting or bat roost constraints are present, and whether a phased approach would be healthier than heavy pruning in one visit.
