Hedge Cutting
Trim, reduce or reshape conifer hedges that are being retained.
Removal of leylandii, overgrown conifers and unwanted conifer hedges in Preston gardens, boundaries and commercial grounds.
Conifers can quickly outgrow the space available, especially where leylandii hedges have been left for several years. They can block light, dominate small gardens, shed dry needles, push against fences and create large volumes of waste when removed.
Most conifer removals are handled by sectional dismantling. Branches are stripped and chipped, then stems are cut down in manageable sections. Where access allows, stumps can be ground out so the area is ready for replanting, fencing, turfing or landscaping.
Conifers do not always regrow from old brown wood, so heavy reductions can leave bare areas. If the aim is a tidy retained hedge rather than removal, we will explain what result is realistic before work starts.
